Museum Schloss Fürstenberg, Fürstenberg/Weser, Germany
The Museum Schloss Fürstenberg is situated on a ridge high above the river Weser. The windows of the Gerverot hall provide a wide view on the Weser Valley and its hilly surroundings. The installation sensitises for the impression of the seldomly calm hill. The snapshot of a gust of wind expressed via a multitude of porcelain leaves is reminiscent of a swirling pile of leaves in autumn.
The shape of the individual leaves is not based on the exact outlines of oak, beech or chestnut leaves, but instead represents an abstraction in which the fragility and dynamic of each individual leaf is at the foreground.
